Activities for Children

 

The C-U Autism Support Network strives to include the entire family. Our support and networking meetings have something for everyone in your family.

Our swim option is no longer available during meeting nights. As previously announced, we are no longer able to offer swimming as an option for childcare during our meetings. However, we have an exciting alternative to offer. Our new child care activity for children with an autism spectrum diagnosis, (age 6 and up) will be programmed by Lori Vekre, a certified yoga instructor and special education teacher. Lori has a special interest in working with children and teaching them about the “magic” of yoga. She will be drawing from her experience with Amara Yoga’s summer camps, which blend yoga, art and dance into an active and engaging activity for children. She is also an EMT. We are pleased to have Lori join our childcare team.
